Poney Chiang Ph.D, .R.TCMP, R.Ac, Dipl.OM (NCCAOM)

Poney Chiang received a PhD in biomedical research from the Institute of Medical Science, University of Toronto, followed by a Master’s degree in Traditional Oriental Medicine from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in New York.
He is an adjunct professor and founder of the Integrative Acupuncture Certificate Program for the Faculty of Health at York University (Toronto). Poney is a professor at the American Neuro-Acupuncture Institute in Santa Fe, and former chair of the herbal medicine department at the Ontario College of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Poney is an expert in peripheral neuro-anatomy of acupoints and their associated neuro-modulation needle techniques. He has been invited to lecture at various international TCM and biomedical acupuncture symposiums and conduct workshops in North/South America, Europe and Australlia. His current research interest includes MRI-based study of the neuro-anatomy of acupoints, as well as the efficacy of acupuncture in reducing post-operative opioid usage.
Poney has served on the Integrative Health Task Force at York University and the Education Planning Committee for the Center for Integrative Medicine at the University of Toronto. He was appointed by the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner & Acupuncturist of Ontario as a license examination writer, and as members of the Disciplinary and Complaint committees where he volunteers his service to protect the public and ensure high professional standards for the Chinese medicine profession.

Melissa is dedicated Naturopathic Doctor who is passionate about health. She focuses on understanding people, illness patterns and disease which allows her and her patients to identify areas of the body that need support. By actively listening and individualizing treatments, she helps people understand their health while addressing the root cause of a condition.
With a special interest in Women’s Health and Fertility, Melissa has worked closely with leaders in these fields of Conceive Health and TCART Fertility Partners. She welcomes all patients to her practice, and has a special interest in Family Medicine, Women’s Health, Fertility, Pain Management, Chronic Disease/Autoimmune Conditions and Digestion. Dr. Melissa Lee ND attended the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine where she obtained her Naturopathic Doctorate Degree. She is a member of College of Naturopaths of Ontario, the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors (CAND) and the Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors (OAND).
Christopher Gordon B.Sc. (Kinesiology), D.C., R.Ac

As a stressed Kinesiology student, studying human anatomy in cadaver labs, Chris realized, while trying to understand his experience of déqi, that needling affects nerves. That unique experience of psychological and physical integration motivates his lifelong passion to integrate traditional and anatomical models of acupuncture.
Since graduating from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 1999, and completing TCM-based Clinical Acupuncture certification in 2001, Chris has integrated chiropractic and acupuncture into general practice.
He is creating Acupuncture Anatomy Maps, for Neuro-Meridian Integrative Acupuncture practical and cadaver labs, and for quick, clinical application of Poney Chiang's S.M.A.R.T. principles of Neuro-Meridian Integrative Acupuncture.
Chris is honoured to collaborate with Poney Chiang, and the Neuro-Meridian Integrative Acupuncture team, as an Assisting Instructor, in both practical and cadaver labs, and as a Research Dissector.
Daniel Ortiz MSTOM, L.Ac, LMT, Dipl.OM (NCCAOM)

He graduated from the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine with a Master’s Degree in Traditional Oriental Medicine (Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine) and Massage Therapy in 2013.
Daniel Ortiz specializes in the integration of Acupuncture and Massage Therapy for Orthopedic Disorders and Pain Management. He integrates Zheng Gu Tui Na (Advanced Chinese Medical Massage) and Therapeutic Thai Massage, joint mobilization, and stretching techniques to complement his approach to acupuncture treatments.Previously, he did a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Puerto in Mayaguez, and later obtained a Master’s Degree in Materials Science Program from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. His interest in research led him to study with Dr. Poney Chiang. In 2017, they have together published peer reviewed research in the Medical Acupuncture Journal. In February 2018, Daniel Ortiz co-taught the advanced training program offered to physiotherapists in Barcelona, Spain. In October 2018, he taught Electro-Modulation of Peripheral Nerves for Neuro Rehabilitation for the Level II: Comprehensive Training in NeuroAcupuncture at the Neuro-Acupuncture Institute in New Mexico.
Currently, Daniel Ortiz is the selected candidate acupuncturist to work in Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City where he will be treating patients and collaborating with other major health professionals for research and development in Integrated Medicine."

Juny began her journey at McMaster University by completing a Kinesiology degree (2009) followed by a Masters in Physical Therapy from Western University (2011). She has been an executive of the Acupuncture Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy
Association since 2015.Her passion to harmoniously blend Eastern philosophy and techniques with Western evidenced-based approach in the treatment of acute and chronic pain led her to study under Poney Chiang on several occasions (Integrative Acupuncture: Advanced Practice Certification and Neuro-meridian Integrative Acupuncture). Inspired yet recognizing gaps in her knowledge,Juny immediately set forth to study Chinese medicine, and will complete the Herbal and Acupuncture program at Canadian College of Traditional Chinese medicine by 2021. She currently practises at Holistic Osteopathy and Wellness in Oakville where she integrates her evolving knowledge of acupuncture, manual therapy, and exercise.
